Dfac, located at 20640 Cold War Dr, El Paso, TX 79918, is a military dining facility that offers a practical place for soldiers and eligible guests to grab a meal in a straightforward, cafeteria-style setting. The food is generally what you would expect from an Army DFAC: simple, filling, and designed to serve a large number of people efficiently. While not every dish will stand out, the meals can be satisfying, and the culinary specialists clearly put effort into keeping service moving during busy periods. One of the more enjoyable sides of Dfac is its family-oriented atmosphere during special events. Monthly family nights can bring a much livelier feeling to the dining hall, with soldiers preparing food while interacting patiently and kindly with children and families. Service experiences can vary depending on the staff working at the time. Some team members are friendly and welcoming, while others may come across as less attentive. Food availability can also be inconsistent during certain meal periods, especially when popular items run out before staff notice that another batch is needed. Portion sizes may sometimes feel modest, particularly when there is still food remaining toward the end of service. Another issue worth keeping in mind is operating-hour communication. There have been occasions when the building appeared open but no staff were present, with little visible information explaining a closure or directing diners to another available DFAC. For anyone stationed nearby, checking the latest schedule before making the trip can help avoid unnecessary inconvenience. Despite those occasional service and scheduling frustrations, Dfac remains a familiar dining option for the military community around Fort Bliss, combining everyday Army meals with moments of friendly interaction and community-focused events.

Best DFAC I've been to in the Army. Consistent quality over the past 3 years, good variety, clean, friendly service, efficiently run, cheap, and nice holiday dinners.

Lights are on, and no one is home. Doors unsecured and no one here. No information on other dfacs open and no messages for reason they aren't open. It's crazy to me that they don't seem to have updates for when they're closed or open. Edit: I like eating here. Have only had a few complaints on the food, but watcha gonna do. It's army chow. Apparently our supply is supposed to put out schedules of closures. It would be nice to see closures on the DFACs though. I appreciate your Culinary Specialists and will dine again.

There are some worker here that are friendly, there are others that are just straight up rude. I love getting small serving and watching them throw the food away at night. They dont have people checking the line. They'll run out of an item and not even realize it for like 10 to 15 minutes. Or they many only make one batch of it.

We came out for their family night and we had a fun time... the soldiers who cooked were very sweet and patient with all the kids that came out for this monthly family night.
