The best blue plate lunch in Jackson can be found at Lizzie's House on any given day! Currently a plate meal is $5.50 it comes with your choice of meat, 3 sides, and cornbread/roll. There is something for everyone. You can even get a veggie plate. My favorite is the baked chicken. It's delicious and seasoned to perfection. All fried items are cooked when ordered. The best part about eating lunch here is knowing that my purchase is going towards the Ministry of Lizzies House. It's a shelter for Women & Children. Advice: Always call your order in 30-40 minutes ahead of time. Do so before noon. This is a popular lunch place. Lizzie's is not a place for people without have patience. Some days you may get your order fast and some days it may take a while. I hope that you enjoy this little gem.

Lizzies House is a great low end eatery. Its food is good for the 6.25 price which includes meat two vegetables and a drink. It is also a great place to have a meal being that it helps support a shelter and a ministry ran out of the same building. The food and atmosphere though not considered high end is in good taste as are the prices and customer service.

The food is always good but I advise to call in your order as early as 11, especially for chicken wings because they sell fast.

We visit this place frequently and if you like cafeteria style food quick and good and reasonably priced this is the place to go for takeout no frills just good food cheap and quick

Homecooking at it's finest from the "Cafeteria." The varied menu items are cooked to order...piping hot with portions generous enough for even the hungriest person!!
