Rene Anthony’s is the kind of cozy café and bakery I’d point people toward when they want something warm, simple, and welcoming in Hobbs. Located at 513 W US 62-180 Hwy, Hobbs, NM 88240, United States, it has that small-town spot feeling where fresh baked goods, coffee, and sweet treats can easily turn a quick stop into a relaxed break. I like how the place feels built around comfort rather than fuss, with a menu style that seems to stretch beyond just café basics. It is known for offering freshly baked items and gourmet coffee, which makes it a nice choice for mornings, casual meetups, or a little afternoon pick-me-up. There is also a personal, local-business feel here, especially with mentions of catering, meal prep, cakes, cookies, and desserts being part of what they are working on or offering. That gives Rene Anthony’s a more flexible personality: part bakery, part café, part custom-order spot for people who need something sweet or practical for gatherings. The address along US 62-180 makes it easy to keep in mind for anyone passing through Hobbs or looking for a nearby bakery café option. I’d introduce it as a laid-back place where you can expect coffee, baked goods, dessert ideas, and a homey atmosphere instead of a rushed chain-style experience. The menu direction sounds especially appealing for people who enjoy cakes, cookies, and made-with-care treats, while the café side makes it useful for everyday visits too. Rene Anthony’s feels like one of those neighborhood places where the details matter, from the fresh bakery items to the growing list of food services, giving locals another friendly stop for coffee, desserts, and casual bites.

There burritos are the best burritos that I have bought in New Mexico! They also have homemade desserts by the slice.

Friendly staff and awesome food. The most brisket I’ve ever had in a burrito. Salsa was perfect. Got a piece of cake to go. Looked too good.

A great rest stop This is our second time stopping and eating at Rene' Anthony Cafe. For those who are traveling from Eunice, Hobbs to Carlsbad I'd recommend stopping and take a break have some food drink be fore getting back on the road. Grady and Ann Ferguson, Carlsbad

Just passing through and googled a quick place to eat. I saw the pictures online and told my husband it looked good. We pulled up, we were the only car there, kinda in the middle of nowhere. My husband gave me a look like ok you picked this place not me. WELL let me just say this little place did NOT disappoint. The food was sooooo good, and customer service was exceptional. Don't let the location fool you this place is awesome. Only thing I regret is not shaking down the cook and stealing the green bean recipe. Eat here. You wont regret it
