Antojitos Rd is the kind of spot I would introduce to anyone looking for bold, comforting Dominican food in Staten Island, especially around 611 Bay St, Staten Island, NY 10304. The menu has the feel of a place built around familiar flavors, generous portions, and dishes that bring real personality to the table. For anyone craving Dominican street-food favorites and homestyle plates, this restaurant seems to stand out with items like yaroa, quipes, empanadas, patacón, and refreshing chinola. The yaroa is one of the highlights, described as filling, flavorful, and satisfying even in a medium size, making it a strong pick for someone who wants something hearty without losing that fresh, saucy comfort-food appeal. The patacón also gets attention for being large, tasty, and not dry, which is important for a dish that depends on both texture and balance. I would also point people toward the empanadas de carne and empanadas de queso if they want something easy to enjoy on the side or as a quick bite. What makes Antojitos Rd feel especially inviting is the sense of authenticity people connect with the food, from the quipes to the yaroa, with flavors that can remind guests of traditional Dominican cooking and family-style comfort. Beyond the food, the service adds to the experience, with staff who come across as kind, attentive, and willing to take care of customers in small but meaningful ways. For Dominican families, local food lovers, or anyone exploring Staten Island’s Latin food scene, Antojitos Rd offers a warm, flavorful stop where the portions are generous, the sauces add extra enjoyment, and the dishes carry the kind of homemade taste that keeps people planning their next order.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. I ordered from here today and had a great experience. I ordered a yaroa, empanadas de carne, empanadas de queso and a patacon. The yaroa was a medium but it was pretty big and filling. The patacon is huge as well! Delicious. Not dry. Extra sauce on the side was great. I also ordered chinola and one fell on my way out. The staff was so kind and gave me a new one. Will be back!

We ordered a chimi and 5 meat fritura with tostones, French fries, and fried sweet potato. Beef was hard to eat; it was too thick and lacked seasoning (personal preferences). Longaniza, pork chicharron, orejitas, and boneless fried chicken were good. Pink sauce tasted ok; was too watery, wish it was thicker. Total $ 76... Next day, we tried the beef chimi and chinola juice. Chimi was good, I love messy sandwiches, and this was on point. However, chinola juice tasted as it's supposed to, lol, real chinola, sour, missing a little bit more sugar. Total $42. The place is clean, a very good portion, and good service. I feel comfortable eating from here and will go back and try other things from their menu.

I went there yesterday June 12th 2025. I bought 2 chimis and patelillos de res. I don’t understand the bad reviews because the food was absolutely amazing. I’ve had plenty chimis from the heights and these chimis are comparable. The service was amazing very friendly staff. I love the ambiance. Great place and I will definitely return.
