Black Rose Bottling Co. brings a distinctive grown-up social atmosphere to 901 Dickinson Ave, Greenville, NC 27834, offering a setting where cocktails, live music, and relaxed conversation come together naturally. The space has the character of an intimate jazz bar, making it especially appealing for friends who want to catch up over drinks without the feel of a typical crowded nightlife venue. Music plays an important role in the experience, with live performances that can feature emerging artists from East Carolina University’s School of Music. Jazz is a notable part of the identity here, giving evenings a lively yet comfortable soundtrack that suits both casual visits and longer nights out. Behind the bar, the selection is broad enough to accommodate different tastes, with cocktails and a variety of other drinks available, while knowledgeable and friendly staff can help guests navigate the choices. The welcoming approach extends to owners Pat and Asheera, whose warm presence contributes to the personable character of the establishment. Food is available to complement the drinks as well, with tapas-style bites providing something to snack on before dinner or alongside a cocktail. Bacon popcorn is one of the more memorable options, pairing a familiar snack with a savory twist, while the green tea shot is another drink worth noticing among the bar offerings. Black Rose Bottling Co. can also fit neatly into different parts of an evening: it works as a meeting point for tapas and drinks before heading elsewhere for dinner, but its late hours also make it useful for dessert and drinks after many other establishments have finished serving. With comfortable surroundings, attentive service, flexible drink choices, and live performances filling the room, the atmosphere encourages guests to settle in, talk, listen to music, and enjoy the steady rhythm of a night on Dickinson Avenue.

My husband and I went on the Black Friday night a few weeks ago. It was phenomenal! There was live music, spoken word, and popup shops. My husband even saw someone doing a live painting. The space is intimate but didn't feel too small. Everything we ordered came fast. The owner was working along side everyone else and that was really refreshing to see. My husband and I had a fun night. It was exactly what we needed. We are older and don't do clubs but still want to go out and be social.

Excellent new spot for the area. Nice clean atmosphere and the owners are the ones working the bar and serving drinks. You can tell they really care about the experience and the drinks I tried were all very smooth and well made. A great place to enjoy some time with a friend where the music isn’t too loud and you don’t have to yell at the person next to you to have a nice conversation. Nice mature crowd made for a good evening.

EJ is a wonderful bartender. The owners are very involved and make you feel welcome. If jazz is your thing and it's the right night this is spot. Tonight the No Quarter Brass Band was awesome. Kudos to Black Rose and the fantastic band.

Perfect place to catch up with friends, old and new! There is a perfect drink for every pallet and live music featuring up and coming artists from ECU's School of Music. Plus, Pat and Asheera, the owners, are warm and welcoming! You must try the bacon popcorn and green tea shot!

FINALLY a classy upscale place in Greenville, NC to just relax, have some great drinks, with great food, great people, and great music. The Hemmingway is an amazing drink and the owners Patrick and Asheera have never met a stranger and make everyone feel like family. Everyone who comes to Greenville needs to stop by the Black Rose.

Definitely a win for Greenville! An adult jazz bar with knowledgeable staff, live music and flexible hours (open late), it is a great spot to have on Dickinson. Whether it be tapas and drinks before dinner, or dessert and drinks after your favorite restaurant has closed, this place it worth a visit.
